The story of the game will take off a couple of years after the point where Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II left off.

After the victory over the Dark Jedi, Kyle Katarn abandoned his allegiance to the Force, out of fear of falling to the Dark Side.

But now, after all those years, Katarn will have to wield the Force once again to save the Galaxy from a Dark Jedi.

Some locations from Dark Forces and Jedi Knight will be featured again, like Naar Shaddaa. There will be new locations from the original movie series (like Cloud City) and from some of the Star Wars books (like the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4).
